From: MANN@TUHEP3.PHY.TUFTS.EDU Date: Thu, 06 Dec 2001 11:39:09 -0500 (EST) Subject: Request for help (if possible) on cost-of-room at Okura Frontier Hotel To: nuint01@neutrino.kek.jp Message-id: <01KBJOP5Q75U000049@TUHEP3.PHY.TUFTS.EDU> December 6, 2001 Dear Organizers of NuInt01, I am only very recently able to be excused from teaching duties here at my home institution, and so I am regretably a late registrant to the Workshop. Please allow me to identify myself - I am William Anthony Mann of Tufts University. I am contacting you with regard to accomodation. I have phoned the Okura Frontier Hotel Tsukuba this morning and have made a reservation for four nights (Dec. 12, 13, 14, 15). The Hotel attendant explained to me that all single rooms are filled up, and so all that was available was a double room at 13,500 Yen per night. I have confirmed this reservation - I realize that by booking late I have missed the opportunity for a cheaper room which you set up. However there was one aspect about which I was unable to get clarification. Although I identified myself as a participant in the KEK Neutrino Workshop, it was not indicated to me that there was any reduction in the room price which followed from that. So, I am wondering - do you still have any influence with the Okura Frontier Hotel concerning the price of my room ? If there is any way that you can clarify with them that I am a KEK participant and therefore entitled to a discount - Please Do. Many thanks for your attention to this matter. And - my congradulations to the Organizers, for they have indeed assembled an exciting lineup of talks. Sincerely, W. Anthony Mann
