    Dear OPC members,

I have a proposal to Editors of the Proceedings and the
    editing procedure.

    In the draft agreement,
    >2.The Guest Editor(s) of these Proceedings will be (.....
    > .....), whose names will be printed on the cover of that particular
    >volume. The Guest Editor(s) will see to it that all
    >contributions are refereed in accordance with the standards
    >set by the Editors of the jour-nal.

    (1) I will propose that the editors of the proceedings be three
people, FNAL-ICRR-KEK, even though it sounds very formal.
Three chairpersons, Morfin, Suzuki and Sakuda, if no one disagrees.
(If FNAL, KEK or ICRR group recommends a different person, it is
    also ok.)

I think that it is important to continue this cooperative
organization in the next NuInt02 Workshop. Andre Rubbia
and other European participants were very happy with the
workshop and we can expect to have good contributions to
NuInt02 or NuInt03 from Europe as well as from Japan and US.
In fact, we had equal numbers of
participants among US, Japan and Europe at NuInt01.
So, the next NuInt02 may be chaired by one from US, one from
Japan and one from Europe, for example.
It will be a subject of the discussion for the next NuInt02
    Workshop.

Surely, there is an alternative way, ie local organizers
    become the editors.

The organization of the workshop started with the
discussion with Jorge, Adam and Suzuki-san etc. Suzuki-san talked to K2K
conveners and, Itow-san and I participated in the workshop organization.
And you know how we have worked together for this workshop thru
the Video meetings and e-mails since last March.

Since this NuInt01 was the first one, it may not be a good
idea to assign local organizers as the Editors of the
Proceedings. The second or third workshop may have such
    case.

Lastly, three institutes support the workshop financially.

    (2) The other important thing is the editing procedure.
I expect that there will be a discussion how to arrange the
Panel Session. We still need OPC's advice and "Editors should set
the standard of the journal" as written in the agreement
documents. We would like to make this proceedings a good
    one.

I hope that Jorge and Adam will help the editing procedure.

Since Suzuki-san and Itow-san are too busy on the SK
reconstruction work, we cannot expect much of the help.

    (3) There are some minor items for discussion in the draft
agreement, such as a use of color (I think Black and White
is ok). We have to be sure that we can show the contributed
    papers in Web.
I will read them more carefully later.

    Please send your opinions.

    Regards,
    Makoto Sakuda
