Date: Mon, 03 Dec 2001 22:42:42 CST From: Adam Para <para@fsgi03.fnal.gov> I am not sure. W-induced and Z-induced interactions and the nuclear effects are different, and hopefully these effects have been properly taken into account by the Collaboration. NuTeV result is either: - indication of new physics (this is always a fun topic to discuss, but I am not sure if this workshop is the right place) - indications that the nuclear effects are different in a way inconsistent with the Standard Model - indication that some of the effects were not properly accounted for (hard to discuss without a very detailed discussion of the analysis. Clearly not possible at our workshop) - some other experimental problem (idem) If somebody has a sensible ideas what the result may mean, it could be an interesting talk, but I am afraid that a general discussion would be a waste of time..
