    Dave,
As of now, I have little information on what has been done in your
Session 5-1 "Comparison of MC Generastors" and also what will be done in
the session. Because Session 5-2 "Theoretical Benchmark Calculations"
and Session 6 "Pannel Discussions" follow Session 5-1, it is vital
for me to find out what you are preparing to do in Session 5-1. I have
failed to reach you by phone directly, and I have a little choice but
sending you this e-mail. I am leaving for Japan on Dec. 6.

    The very points that I have to know are;
       1) Are you asking the speakers in Session 5-1 to present benchmark
          calculations using their MC codes?
       2) Are you going to discuss comparison of these benchmark calculations
in your summary talk at the end of Session 5-1?

I am supposed to talk on "Comparison of Benchmark Calculations" in the
beginning of Session 6. I assume that I am to summarize the theoretical
benchmark calculations and then to do a quick comparison of the with the
MC benchmark calculations, so that we can (hopefully smoothly) move to the
pannel discussions to follow. We have a little more theorists than
expected, presenting benchmark calculations, and I am planning to have
20 minutes to do this "Comparison of Benchmark Calculations" talk,
assuming "yes" from you to 1) and 2) above. If not, I'd need more time.

Also, I'd like to have the speakers of BOTH of Session 5-1 and 5-2 to
bring the transparencies of their benchmark calculations to the evening
meetings of Dec. 12, so that the pannelers of Session 6 can have all
results in transparencies relevant to their parts well BEFORE their talks.
I really wished to be able to arrange for the panelers to have them much
before Dec. 12 evening, but perhaps this is the best we could do under the
circumstance. If we could not arrange this, I really think that the
purposes of Session 6 would be largely lost and it might need a last
minutes' reaarngement in the schedule for Session 6.

        3) Can you (unless you have alredy done so) ask the speakers of
Session 5-1 to bring transparencies of their benchmark MC
calculations in the evening session of Dec. 12?

I will ask the speakers of Session 5-2 to do the same, and will
inform the pannelers of session 6 to expect to have the relevant
transparencies in the evning of Dec. 12.

I'd really appreciate your response, as I am, frankly speaking, not quite
sure that I could carry out a responsible job as the chair of Session 6.
    Best wishes.
    Seki

    To: Sakuda san
Above, I am assuming that we can duplicate the transparencies (including
colored ones) in the evening of Dec. 12. If we cannot, we have to think
    of something else.
