Komatsubara (e-mail: takeshi.komatsubara@kek.jp) とします。 o 原稿提出のdeadline （項目 4） 一番難しい問題なのですが、 __出版社に原稿を提出する期限__を契約書に明記しなくてはなりません。 執筆者には「締め切りは2ヶ月後、31 January 2001」と伝え、 実質的な締め切りは 31 March 2001, 契約書に記載する原稿提出の締め切りはさらに余裕をみて __30 April 2001__ とするつもりです。 ただし、私の経験上、どんなに原稿催促をしたとしても それまでに原稿があつまるという保証は全くありません。 * 私が以前World Scientific とProceedingsの契約した際も、 会議は１２月始め、締め切りは１月末、契約書の日付は３月末、 そして実際に原稿を提出したのは９月でした。 商慣習上、契約書にある提出期限を過ぎたからといって 直ちに契約破棄／ペナルテイ発動などということはなく、 交渉次第で延期は認められるものと__信じます__。 先方には今の時点で相談しておきます。 o Proceedings の総ページ数 （項目 5） 前回は 400 page で契約し実際は356ページでした。 今回はこちらから 350 page と伝えたのですが、 契約書のあとの方で"ページ数がこれを越えるとextraにいくら" という項目が出てくるので、 最初から380ページないし400ページとして 値段交渉をしようと思います。 o カラーページ （項目 6） 原稿依頼の段階で 「Proceedings は白黒印刷する。カラーの図を使った原稿が出てきても こちらで白黒コピーをとってから印刷に回す。」 という注意書きをつけ、 カラーページ（にお金をはらうの）は一切無しにします。 o 原稿format （項目 7） "the CRC instructions in PDF format" "an ESP-latex style manual" というのが出てきます。 私はCRC, ESP の意味がわかりません。 どなたかご存じですか？ o 購入部数 （項目 9, 13） 契約時には「最低１００部」ということでよく、 正確な部数は原稿提出時に確定すればよいようです。 Guest Editor + Organizing Committee には合計１０部が 無料で来ることになっています。 参加登録者１５０名 （の中にOrganizing Committeeのメンバーの大半が入っているとして）、 他の研究機関に配ったりはしない、 ただし参加しなかったAdvisary Committeeメンバーや所内外のVIP （機構長、...）には配る必要あり、 とすると、この１０部を考慮に入れて ___ 合計何部を購入することにしますか ？？？？ ____ o 価格 (項目 9) ユーロ立てです。（第四回の契約書ではUS$でした。） 一部 43.00 euro で、380ページ（350の誤植では？）を越えると 1.00 euro 単位で調整、となっています。 今日の 為替レート 109.48 yen/euro を用いると 一部 4708 yen で、170部購入すると 80万円です。 ただし - ELSEVIER は大幅に高い レートを設定しているという新聞報道あり - V.A.T. (付加価値税)うんぬん、という記述が契約書の中にある。 （これについては今研究中です。） ので実際はもっと高くなると思います。 購入部数は、このことを考慮して決めて下さい。 レート、支払い方法、税金については先方に確認します。 o 配布方法 (項目 9) ELSEVIER のほうで 発送(priority mail)してくれます。 本の価格はその郵送料こみです。 こちらは、郵送先（住所、名前）を印刷した__シールのラベル__を 提出しなくてはなりません。 ___シールのラベルをつくるプリンターをどなたかお持ちですか？ 所内にありますか？___ o Organizing Committee の代表者 （項目 11, 及び末尾） この契約書にOrganizing Committee を代表してサインする人です。 前回は 岩田先生が Organizing Committee を代表して (注意: 前回は "Organizing Committee" と "Local Organizing Committee"の二つが存在し、 岩田先生は前者を代表した) サインをしています。 このドラフトでは私になっていますが、 後々の請求支払いのことを考えて、 ___ 高崎先生、もしくは 幅さん にお願いしたいと思います。 いかがでしょうか？ ___ o 項目16に、ELSEVIER はもし望めばこの会議で本の展示を行うことができる、 その際は Organizing Committee は無料で便宜をはかる、云々 という のがあります。前回の契約書にもありました。 実際言ってくることはないでしょうから、気にしないことにします。 敬具 小松原 健 : KEK 素粒子原子核研究所 物理第三研究系 - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Draft agreement for the publication of the proceedings of the 5th KEK Topical Conference, in the Proceedings Supplements section of Nuclear Physics B 1. Elsevier Science B.V., hereinafter called "the Publisher," will publish the Proceedings of the 5th KEK Topical Conference (November 20-22, 2001), in the PROCEEDINGS SUPPLEMENTS section of the journal NUCLEAR PHYSICS B (page format 19 x 26 cm). The pagination of the Proceedings will be the same in any edition and the Proceedings will appear as a special (but consecutively numbered) volume of the journal. 2. The Guest Editors of these Proceedings will be Dr Takeshi K. Komatsubara (e-mail: koma@post.kek.jp), and … (please complete), whose names will be printed on the cover of that particular volume. The Guest Editors will see to it that all contributions are refereed in accordance with the standards set by the Editors of the journal. 3. The Guest Editors will inform the Authors that papers will not be accepted if they have been published elsewhere. 4. The Proceedings will be produced from author-prepared camera-ready copy, and the Organizing Committee will undertake to ensure delivery of the complete camera-ready typescript, as has been specified in the "Notes for Editors" of the Proceedings, including preliminaries, to the Publisher not later than … (please complete). 5. The typescript will consist of invited papers in the English language. The Guest Editors may also include some additional introductory material. The total length will be approximately 350 printed pages, and, in any case, will not exceed 450 printed pages. 6. The cost for reproduction of coloured pages is as follows: euro 640.00 for the first coloured page, euro 320.00 per coloured page thereafter. These costs will be borne by the author(s) of the contribution in which the coloured pages appear. The author(s) of a contribution containing one or more coloured pages will jointly receive 100 complimentary offprints of that contribution. In case authors wish to include coloured pages in any contribution(s), the Guest Editors shall inform them of the financial arrangement indicated above. 7. To ensure maximal and even quality of the Proceedings, the Publisher will sent to you the CRC instructions in PDF format by e-mail, which will consist of camera-ready typescripts, offprint order forms and detailed typing instructions which will be utilized by the contributors in the preparation of their manuscripts. For this purpose, the Organizing Committee will provide the Publisher with a list of contributors' names and their e-mail addresses. For those computer-producing their camera-ready manuscripts using the latex macro package, an ESP-Latex style manual will be provided in order that the appropriately formatted output results. The Guest Editors will check and, if necessary, arrange for improvement of the language and the technical presentation of the camera-ready typescripts. 8. The Publisher will publish the Proceedings as soon as possible after the complete typescript is forwarded to his office and will undertake publication of the journal edition within three months after receipt of the complete manuscript as has been specified in the "Notes for Editors", provided the deadline mentioned under point 4 is met. 9. The Organizing Committee will order in bulk copies of the Proceedings for all the participants directly from the Publisher. The minimum bulk order will be 100 copies. The Organizing Committee will place their order no later than the actual date of submission of the complete manuscript. The special reduced price per copy of 350 printed pages or less is euro 43.00 (hardbound journal edition). In case the size exceeds 380 printed pages, this price will be adjusted proportionately to the actual number of pages, in units of euro 1.00. Prices quoted are exclusive of any V.A.T. or taxes applicable. If the Organizing Committee is liable to V.A.T., V.A.T. will be included on the invoice unless they have provided ELSEVIER with their V.A.T. registration number. Upon publication of the Proceedings, these copies will be mailed to the registrants by the Publisher via priority mail, without extra charge. For this purpose, the Organizing Committee will provide the Publisher with a list of names and addresses on self-adhesive labels. 10. The Organizing Committee may order additional copies of the Proceedings at the participants' rate for special purposes excluding re-sale. This order will be combined with the order for the participants. 11. After completion of the distribution, the Publisher will send an invoice for the copies ordered, as mentioned under points 8 and 9 above, to the Organizing Committee (which is in this case represented by Dr Takeshi K. Komatsubara), who will pay the amount within 4 (four) weeks after receipt of the invoice. 12. Twenty-five free offprints of each contribution will be mailed to the first named or corresponding author of that contribution. Additional offprints can be ordered in accordance with the standard prices of the Publisher. 13. The Publisher will have no financial obligations neither towards the Organizing Committee and the Guest Editors nor to the authors, but will make available 10 (ten) free copies of the Proceedings to the Organizing Committee and Guest Editors jointly. 14. The Proceedings will be advertised by the Publisher in his international journals. In addition, the Proceedings will be included in the regular promotion of the Publisher. 15. The copyright of the Proceedings will be vested in Elsevier Science B.V. and the Proceedings will be published under the imprint of North-Holland. The copyright restrictions will be laid down in the copyright transfer forms, according to the attached example. 16. The Publisher will have the opportunity, if he so desires, to exhibit his relevant books and journals for the duration of the conference. If the Publisher wishes to make use of this opportunity, the Organizing Committee will make sufficient space available in a prominent place (e.g., near the registration area), free of charge.
