I'm a member of the CHORUS Collaboration and currently working at CERN. Below a letter from CHORUS supervisor addressed to neutrino Monte Carlo session of the Conference (to Prof. D. Casper) is attached. I'll be glad to participate in this Workshop and plan if possible to deliver report about neutrino event generators (probably item 5.1 of the Workshop program) used in CHORUS. As I'm Russian citizen in accordance with visa requirements could you please urgently send me an invitation letter to CERN fax 41 22 76-73100 (visa preparation requires 1 month or more!). Additionally I must "send the Japanese documents to the garantor (you) and ask him or her (you) to make and return the necessary documents" needed for "Consulat General du Japon au Geneve". Please provide me with your fax number (I'll send you these 5 pages which I don't understand as they written in Japan, sorry) and after receiving them please make and return the necessary documents. Please, write me also the name, address, telephone and "relationship to applicant" of the guarantor/reference in Japan. It is needed for visa application form. Just a few minutes ago I have sent you filled registration form. Thank you very much in advance ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ilya TSUKERMAN CERN, EP division, CH-1211 Geneve 23, Switzerland Building 51-1-014 Phone: +41 22 76-77958, Fax: +41 22 76-73100 E-mail: Ilya.Tsukerman@cern.ch Home institute: ITEP, Moscow, 117259, Russia B. This is a late answer to Your e-mail. In those days, i cannot come indeed. But, after discussions in CHORUS and with Jaap (he's the Chorus Spokesperson), we're definitely interested in joining the workshop and the discussion. In CHORUS, We have produced event generators for various subjects related with neutrinos: tridents, heavy lepton, diffractive, charm quasi-elastic, open charm production, J/Psi, CCBAR associated production (which we are measuring, and by-the-way it's a possible background for neutrino factories) and other better known processes like QE and DIS for all flavours. Ilya Tsoukerman is currently working on them, and he's going to register to the workshop. Do you think he could also present what CHORUS has done? in other words, there's still some space in the agenda? Please let me know, i heard you're very busy with lectures! ciao/Piero
