--------------------- Explanation of files --------------------- data_mc_comp.ps - comparison of background-unsubtracted reconstructed neutrino energy spectra in data with Neut AND Nuance for Muc3d 1 track and 2 track, First 1 track and 2 track samples data_mc_inel_comp.ps - comparison of (i) reconstructed neutrino energy (ii) reconstructed muon energy and (iii) reconstructed muon angle with respect to the beam direction for 2 track event sample (both muc3d and First) with Delta(theta)>40 degrees data is compared with Neut4.1 AND Nuance MC data_mc_bs_comp.ps - comparison of background subtracted reconstructed neutrino energy spectra in data with Neut AND Nuance. The data are compared to the known QE distribution in each Monte Carlo and for all four event samples (Muc3d 1/2 track and First 1/2 track) data_mcNeut_bs_comp.ps - 3 files are the same as above except that the data is compared ONLY to Neut4.1 data_mcNeut_comp.ps data_mcNeut_inel_comp.ps ****** In these plots the MC histograms have been normalised to the number of events in data ******** migrate_neut41.ps - migration matrices for each of the four event classes in Neut41 migrate_nuance.ps - migration matrices for each of the four event classes in Nuance component_enu_neut41.ps - The average efficiency corrected neutrino energy spectra for each of Muc3d 1 and 2 track and First 1 and 2 track. The Monte Carlo has been normalised to the area spanned by the data points shown in each case. The effect of the incorrect QE efficiency can be seen in the Muc3d 2 track case (shape is right, but efficiency is too high) if the bin contents are compared to the Muc3d 1 track case. component_enu_nuance.ps - same plot for Nuance. The numbers are consistent for each event category. ****** Lots of energy spectra plots - These are the combined version of the plots shown in the component ****** files just above. The combined spectra are the statistical error weighted average of the 4 event ****** categories. These are NOT flux plots, but rather differential spectra for quasi elastic events. ****** Hence they are flux*cross section. ****** I don't have the number of target atoms at the moment so can't scale Neut 4.1 MC ----------- enuspec_mc_neut41.ps - just the MC histogram. If you wanted to overlay one .... enuspec_meas_neut41.ps - just the combined data enuspec_all_neut41.ps - overlay of data and MC histogram. The normalisation is to the area between the 2 and 6 bins inclusive. enuspec_pion_neut41.ps - comparison with pion monitor predictions as well. Nuance MC ------------- enuspec_mc_nuance.ps enuspec_meas_nuance.ps enuspec_all_nuance.ps enuspec_pion_nuance.ps (same as the Neut case above) systematic_errors_neut41.ps - listing of the systematic errors in each energy bin for the spectrum analysis when neut4.1 is used systematic_errors_nuance.ps - listing of the systematic errors in each energy bin for the spectrum analysis when nuance is used
