      [Summary of SciFi meeting]

      KEK TV meeting room 16:00-17:00, Apr.19, 2001

      Sakuda/Ishida/Iwashita/Yokoyama/Boyd/Eunju

     1) Data analysis
      - Yoshida's 2001 reprocess is now going.
      - Iwashita will start Nsk estimation with + MRD1L with ~2000 data.
This will reduce systematic error. Check consistency with MRD3D
        way.
      - Prepare new data set between "nice" and "cand", which contain all
of neutrino interaction candidates in reproc. data.

                         # of events (~2000)
         fiducial 102,188
         Dveto 15,809 -- 1st reduction "nice"
         goodspill 12,570
         Upveto 9,360 <-- **
         LG 5,888
         spectrum (LG,1L,2D,3D) 4,751 -- 2nd reduction "cand"

         ** is pure neutrino sample
      - Addition of new banks (gtrack/kalman/sftntrack) will take place to
final samples. Ishida+Steve will discuss final design and commit code
        this month.

     2) MC
      - Vector generation will be done in the 1st week of May (Hayato).
After this FGSIM generation will be started (Yoshida).
      - Noise parameter for 2001 has been tuned both for CR and for beam
by Steve and Yokoyama. They will commit them soon.
      - After this CR MC will be generated to check CCD-space hit
        distribution.

     3) Improvement of hit finder
      - 1 dimensional fake hit filter (FC3) is known to be effective
        to remove parallel ghost tracks.
      - FC3 will be applied for beam data subset by Steve.
      - Ishida will continue to develop new fake hit filter with best S/N.

     4) CR shift and analysis
      - We'll continue to take calibration CR data (usually 9:00-13:00 Monday).
Shift is assigned. Table is given at Iwashita's desk.
      - Analysis will be done by Yokoyama
     ........................................................................

      - Sakuda at Kamioka (-Apr.28)
      - Steve will leave KEK on Apr.28
      - Eunju will present K2K results at KPS (Apr.26-May 3rd)
     ........................................................................

      - Next Meeting (TV, May 1st ?)
