MC study on re-scattering Walter is studying proton rescattering with/without re-scattering effect using NUANCE. Flux=standard flux. 1) Probability of the proton scattering in oxygen is about 30%. 2) The proton momentum is reduced by about 100MeV/c. 3) Proton angular distribution looks the same with/without rescattering, though proton angle is deflected by about 40 degrees. Gajewski is working with Hayato in order to install his re-scattering code to NEUT. His version is ready for testing. He showed various distributions at E_nu=0.7 GeV. 1) Probability of the proton scattering in oxygen is about 50%. 2) Proton angle is deflected by about 40 degrees. Walter will compare the distributions at E_nu=0.7 GeV. 2. Analysis 1) Bank structure Ishida proposed an updated version of SciFi track bank, now called a G'day track bank. We discussed about running Kalman fit after finding matched tracks. 2) Filter Ishida showed that cosmic-ray data and MC agree better with FC3 than with FC8. He will check it using the beam data. He will improve the filter and try to reduce noise tracks. 3) Pixel simulation for Y2001 data Ishida and Boyd showed N-pix distributions for cosmic-ray muons. Data and MC agree to a satisfactory level. Yokoyama will obtain the noise distribution for each IIT from Y2001 data. Iwashita will imporve the correspondence between true tracks and reconstructed tracks. 4) New alignment parameters (by BJK) are incorporated into the geometry file. 5) Calibration work We will use a AR room for bech test. Yokoyama/Jeon/Iwashita Iwashita organizes the cosmic-ray data taking every week and daily check of the detector. Ishida showed the efficiency of each IIT using cosmic-rays. It is stable. EunJu will calculate the efficiency with beam data too. 6) Analysis topics for K2K meeting *Iwashita -- Event selection and rate *Boyd -- Neutrino spectrum *Walter-- MC study and nQE/QE *BJ.Kim -- Neutrino spectrum using low energy 2-tracks *Ishida -- Contained event analysis *MC meeting (Hayato) will be held on April 17. ->No SciFi meeting on April 17. //
