Oh? I didn't know that. I just did a full check-out from Stony Brook and it took about an hour. I think that's not so long to wait for something that changes so rarely. If anyone complains again, I can create a virtual CVS module that does not contain the LG/VETO calibration files. Then, people who do not want these files can check out the virtual module instead.
