Message-Id: <199906050038.JAA30869@neutrino.kek.jp> Subject: minutes of K2K weekly meeting on June 3 Date: Sat, 05 Jun 1999 09:38:19 +0900 From: Yuichi Oyama <oyama@neutrino.kek.jp> Minutes of K2K weekly meeting June-3-99 15:00 - 16:15 K.Nakamura, K.Nishikawa, M.Sakuda, T.Ishida, T.Ishii, T.Kobayashi, T.Hasegawa, T.Inagaki, G.Kume, J.H.Choi, S.B.Lee, T.Maruyama, H.Ishino, M.Kohama, At.Suzuki, A.Sakai, H.Yokoyama, J.Y.Kim, Y.Oyama (1)Status(Nishikawa) In the plenary meeting, result session is scheduled on June 7th, and it is requested to present official plot in the session. Details of the analysis and future plan etc should be reported on 2nd day(June 8th). Low intensity beam will be available tomorrow (June 4), and shift jobs will be started from June 3 evening. (2)veto counter (Oyama) Performance of the veto counters are examined with cosmic ray muon events. Absolute time determination, hit position resolution, energy deposit distribution of cosmic ray muon events are reported. (S.B.Lee) Gain monitoring system with LED was tested by changing High Voltage of the PMTs. (3)scifi(Ishino) Neutrino events recorded in March RUNs are analyzed. A total of 551540 events(spills) are reduced to be 2631 events by various selection criteria. Out of 2631 events, 906 events are scanned and 74 events are identified as neutrino events. The efficiency of the criteria was checked by 5000 Monte Carlo events of charged current interaction. 1860 Monte Carlo events remain after above selection. (4)DAQ(Kohama) Present error rate of the beamline DAQ is about 1/10^5 spills per station. He also present job lists and their priorities. More man power is needed to finish all remaining jobs.
