Message-Id: <199905310322.MAA28232@neutrino.kek.jp> Subject: minutes of K2K weekly meeting on May 27 Date: Mon, 31 May 1999 12:22:55 +0900 From: Yuichi Oyama <oyama@neutrino.kek.jp> Minutes of K2K weekly meeting May-27-99 15:00 - 16:00 K.Nakamura, K.Nishikawa, J.Hill, Y.Hayato, S.Mine, M.Sakuda, C.Mauger, J.H.Choi, Urszala, T.Ishii, T.Kobayashi, H.Ishino, M.Yoshida, E.Sharkey, T.Hasegawa, T.Inagaki, T.Maruyama, M.Nakamura, A.Sakai, S.Boyd, J.G.Learned, C.Mcgrew, T.Ishida, Y.Oyama (1)Status(Nishikawa) Every analysis groups are requested to prepare official plot by the next collaboration meeting on June 7. At Super-Kamiokande, still we observed no neutrino event. (2)Scifi tracker (Ishino) The systematic data reduction for 550000 events in the March run was was successfully finished. The data corresponds to 1.71x10^18 protons on target, and the data size is 15GByte. (3)Muon chamber(Ishii) Two bad wires were found by HV trip, and they were disconnected. (4)Analysis(Kobayashi) In the systematic data reduction, some abnormal Lead Glass data were found. The trigger ID information in the event is not correct. The reason is still under study. (5)veto counter(Oyama) Data reduction program is ready, but we cannot start the systematic data reduction because of shortage of the disk space. It will be started after the delivery of new hard disk this weekend. The performace of veto counters from cosmic ray muon data will be reported in the next week meeting. (6)offline(Ishida) Ishida finished SciFi bank format arrangement. The all results of hierarchy of the analyses stages(pixel-cluster-fiberhit-.... -track-vertex-event) are saved as banks now, and each banks are linked to other banks to make relation to be clear. He also finished MC bank format in same way. He proposed basic scheme of kt-FGD combined readout/analysis and also MC, which will be in further discussion. As for MC, Itow/ Hayato/Mcgrew/Ishida will be in charge from now. Itow/Hayato/Mcgrew/Ishida will discuss how to deal with multi-neutrino interactions. It is agreed that the library integration will be done not now, but after the K2K collaboration meeting when the present analysis is done. (Summary by Ishida)
