Movement of the 1 kton water tank in KEK
28-Sept-1996

As part of our suite of nearby neutrino detectors at the KEK site, we will use a 1 kton water Cherenkov detector. This detector had previously been used for the beam test experiment (E261A). We moved the water tank from North counter hall to the land near the K2K front detector hall (which was built after this moving project).

The tank weighs 31 tons (empty). We used a 150 ton crane truck.
